I initially signed up with Rose Morales, but when I had a question, I couldn't reach her. Instead, I spoke with another representative who asked if I had signed with anyone. When I mentioned that I had, she abruptly hung up, which I found strange. I called again and spoke with Erwin Melendez, who told me he could only assist me if I canceled with the other representative and signed up with him instead. I went ahead and signed up with him. Later, when I received an inquiry from LegalZoom regarding a payment, I reached out to Erwin. He promptly called and emailed me, and I ended up paying an additional $200. Now, I have another question, and I also informed him that I didn't the extra fee for the book they send out for your company and what's the process of sending that back. However, I haven't received any phone calls or emails in response. I feel like this company isn't functioning cohesively to support my needs. It seems that since LegalZoom has acquired other accounting firms, there may be some competition among them. Once they signed that client, there's no incentive for them to help them answer other questions.
I paid of last will and testament, and paid an extra $10 to get it printed and mailed, They did not print it, and did not mail it, and they refuse to answer requests for customer service help. I also paid for a some wallet cards, that they never sent. They are truly bad bunch of people, evil managers. I wrote to Senator Collins and the liberal Jared Golden from Maine to request a investigation for fraudulent activities. They need to be investigated for fraud.
Legal Zoom is impossible to deal with. I paid $99 for the Basic Last Will product and filled out the questionnaire to the best of my knowledge but because I repeated information, I found out that the Basic Last Will was never sent to me for signing. I had to inquire why I had not received it. I texted and emailed their support desk for over a month trying to get them to allow the revision. They eventually allowed me to revise the Basic Last Will but charged me another $29 to revise it after the initial month. Of course they did! I strongly recommend anyone wanting to have a Last Will drawn to seek it elsewhere because Legal Zoom just doesn't care about their customers!
Stay away from any 'recurring' options. Used for creating a Will which included a sneaky 200 dollar annual plan to call in and get legal advice. The charge was noticed 1 day after processing which after calling the supposed support line ended with them saying 'we can't refund this based on policy.'
I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. While the basic services are good this is a 'customer killer' for me.
The most horrible customer support and the longest wait times I have ever experienced. I purchased an LLC package with all the bells and whistles to include expedited processing. After two months of waiting, broken promises from customer support ("It will be finished today, we are so sorry for the wait..."), many unanswered questions, no contact, hours on the phone and in chat rooms, and a refusal to refund services not rendered, I cannot recommend LegalZoom.
I canceled my registered agent and they charged me and said I'm not getting my money back. I asked her how do you get the option to cancel online and it doesn't cancel it. She said even though I did that I have to go through secretary of the state and change it. I will never use this site again.
To be clear here, I had no issues with LegalZoom up until this week. I used them to create an LLC in the state of Texas in 2022. I chose to dissolve the LLC in January of 2024 and worked with LegalZoom to do so. They were helpful, I PAID THEM to dissolve it and received all the paperwork in finality in March 2024. Here is where I have an issue with them: they CHARGED me a subscription fee of $249 on July 13,2024, MONTHS after my LLC was dissolved and my subscription was canceled. I spent 2 hours on chat with customer service trying to get a refund for this and they REFUSE to refund me, even though they are no longer my registered agent and not providing any services. DO NOT USE LEGALZOOM unless you want to be robbed.
As the title said, Legalzoom charged us $249 for a Registered Agent subscription in 2024. We canceled our services with LegalZoom in 2022. Even with my cancelation email as proof their customer service agent Jac would not process a refund for the $249 even though they had done no filings for us since 2022. My multiple request for escalation were met with Jac trying to take me in circles. At this time we will NEVER do business with LegalZoom ever again.
I was one of the early adopters and wrote an estate plan complete with trusts and wills. I spent 35 years advising the wealthiest of Americans about their finances. I decided to use LZ against my own judgement. Well 14 years later I,( as will EVERYONE) need to make updates. Beneficiaries die, properties change etc so I needed to change my plan. Well low and behold LZ has lost my plan and is telling me to draft a new one. If you have ever written an estate and funded it, you know how ridiculous that response is. $850 down the toilet. I have their emails, receipts, plans etc. Should have went to a local atty. Estate attorneys please use this as your sales pitch against do it your selfers. Your welcome.
I spent money with legal zoom to set up my LLC. I was told my brand name was available and even got a congratulations message from them. At that point I started ordering products for my LLC. My shirts actually came in a couple hours before talking to the people at LegalZoom and finding out that my name actually isn't available. They never offered to make thing right in any way. Will definitely be figuring out how to get my money back.

I had a subscription that I hadn't used and forgot to cancel it after months, I was charged for another 6 months and the day I as charged I called to get a refund. They said they do not issue refunds and would not gibe me my money back even though it was a complete accident. They do not care about their customers and only care about making $. That is not how you run business and I cannot or will not put money into a business that does this. It is unethical
